Psychological Birth Trauma Study

Summary

Mothers of children 3-8 years old needed for an online research study on psychological birth trauma.

What is the goal of the study?

We are hoping to better understand women’s experiences of psychological birth trauma.

What is involved in the study?

The study involves 2 parts. First, complete a typed/handwritten journal reflection on your birth experience. The second part of the study involves a 60–90-minute interview.

Eligibility

Currently recruiting participants: No

Eligible gender: Transgender, Female

Eligible ages: 18 to 50

Accepts healthy participants: Yes

Inclusion criteria:

You are eligible to participate if you:
1) Are over 18 years of age
2) Have experienced a traumatic birth 3-8 years ago
3) Live in Canada
4) Speak English

Exclusion criteria:

You are not eligible to participate if you:
1) Are under 18 years of age
2) Have experienced a traumatic birth less than 3 years ago (or more than 8 years ago)
3) Live outside of Canada
4) Cannot speak English
