Newcomer Stories from LINC Programs

Summary

Newcomer stories about coming to Canada reveal much about ourselves. In reading about the lived experiences of newcomers, this study explores the nature of what motivates families and individuals to come to Canada, what impact do Canadians have on their lives, and what are newcomers' self-perceived outcomes as a result. Newcomers in this study will reflect on questions such as, What does is mean to be a newcomer? and When do I stop being a newcomer and start "being" Canadian?
