Investigating the Physical Activity Experiences of Black Women Living in Alberta

Summary

We know that participating in physical activity is good for our health and wellness. Canadians are encouraged to be active on a regular basis. But equity-deserving groups experience barriers to physical activity opportunities.The purpose of this study is to explore Black women’s experiences of physical activity and exercise in Alberta.

Participants will be asked to complete one interview, that will last around 90-minutes.

Eligibility

Currently recruiting participants: Yes

Eligible gender: Transgender, Female

Eligible ages: 18 to 90

Accepts healthy participants: Yes

Inclusion criteria:

To participate in this research, you must (1) self-identify as a Black woman living in Alberta, (2) be 18-years of age or older, and (3) have fluency in writing and speaking English.
