Investigating Attitudes towards Menstruation in Young Women

Summary

The beginning of menstruation can be a life-changing transition for girls. Many young girls experience menstruation with insufficient support. Receiving appropriate education may be challenging due to cultural taboos around menstruation. Lack of education may progress into unknown fear, leading to the development of negative attitudes towards menstruation. Currently, little evidence exists on girl’s attitudes towards the menstrual cycle and the underlying differences between positive and negative attitudes towards the menstrual cycle. The aim of this study is to describe young girls' attitudes towards menstruation. The survey will take approximately 20-35 minutes to complete and can be accessed by this link
