Canadian Open Parkinson Network/Réseau Parkinson Canadien Ouvert (C-OPN/RPCO)

Summary

The Canadian Open Parkinson Network (C-OPN) is a platform that connects people living with Parkinson’s disease and related disorders with researchers across Canada. Participating entails coming to a Movement Disorders program near you for at least 2 in-person visits where you will complete a questionnaire, cognitive test(s), and donate blood. This information will be part of a large database to enable researchers to do cutting edge scientific investigations. In addition, you can be part of a contact list for scientists and clinicians across Canada to invite you to participate in Parkinson's research studies and trials. The goal of the network is to unite and mainstream research efforts to more efficiently find ways to treat Parkinson’s disease.

Note: the Calgary Parkinson Research Initiative (CaPRI) consist of a linked site of C-OPN. Meaning, participants can sign up through CaPRI or C-OPN to be part of the network.
