Body Image and Eating Behaviours in Autistic Youth and Young Adults
Summary
This study will explore if autistic girls and young women have different body image concerns compared to their non-autistic peers. We are also interested in how body image might impact eating and weight control behaviours. Participants will complete a several online questionnaires asking about eating habits, weight-related behaviours, and body image.
Eligibility
Eligible gender: Female
Eligible ages: 12 to 24
Accepts healthy participants: Yes
Inclusion criteria:
1. Must be between 12-24 years of age
2. Must be able to read and write English
3. For youth aged 12-15, both the youth and their parent/guardian must be willing to participate
