AVEIR Dual heart pacemaker system

Summary

This study will examine the use of an investigational pacemaker that is implanted inside of the heart in the right atrium and the right ventricle as compare to having a traditional pacemaker implanted in the chest area with leads that travel to the heart in a vein.

Eligibility

Currently recruiting participants: No

Eligible gender: Male, Female, Transgender, Other

Eligible ages: 18 to 100

Inclusion criteria:

1) You have been referred for implant of a two chamber pacemaker by your cardiologist
2) You are over the age of 18
3) You are expected to live longer than one year
4) You are willing to come to the clinic for all study follow ups and complete all study related procedures
5) You are willing to sign the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria:

1) You are in another research study right now
2) You are pregnant or nursing, or planning to become pregnant
3) You are allergic to a steroid
4) You are implanted with a vena cava filter or mechanical tricuspid valve
5) You are implanted with old pacing or defibrillation leads (wires)
6) You are implanted with a different neurologic or cardiac stimulator
