AAC use in science education

Summary

This study explore the experiences of those who have used Augmentative and Alternative Communications (AAC) devices in science education settings at any level (e.g., elementary, secondary, postsecondary). We are looking for participants willing to participate two interviews: a) an in-depth interview of about 1hr and b) a follow-up interview of about 30 mins. Interviews will be held on Zoom and participants may use any mode(s) of communication they prefer (video, audio, text chat).

Currently recruiting participants: Yes

Eligible gender: Male, Female, Transgender, Other

Eligible ages: 18 to 100

Accepts healthy participants: Yes

Inclusion criteria:

Any adult (18 years or over) who has used AAC in a science education setting at any level (e.g., elementary, secondary, postsecondary). This includes full time users and part time users and is inclusive of any form of AAC (e.g., electronic, paper-based, text-to-speech, symbol-based etc.)
