He joined the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at the University of Calgary in September 2015 to pursue my Ph.D. He obtained his M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering from the Sharif University of Technology, Iran. As a member of the ‘Reservoir Simulation Group’ and ‘Polymer Processing Group’ at the University of Calgary, he is currently conducting research on the rheology of polymer solutions, mathematical modeling and numerical simulation of the polymer flooding process for heavy oil and Canadian oil sands. During my studies, he has received awards, including the Neil Edmunds Memorial Graduate Scholarship for innovative research in oil sands recovery process design, the Graduate Excellence Award, the Teaching Excellence Award and the Outstanding Undergraduate Student Award for academic achievement at the University of Calgary and Sharif University of Technology.
