Haile is a PhD student at the University of Calgary, working on the relationships between processing conditions, mechanical behaviour, and the structural performance of polymers and polymer-matrix composites. He obtained his MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the Technion–Israel Institute of Technology, where his research focused on the micromechanics of materials. He completed his undergraduate studies at Addis Ababa Science and Technology University in Ethiopia.
