Pathways

Parkdale enjoys excellent connections with neighboring communities.  Along the southern edge, Calgary's Bow River Pathway system offers opportunities to commute between home and downtown, walk or cycle all over the city, or just enjoy some clean public spaces.  Official paths go north up 29th Street to the Foothills Hospital, west past Shouldice Park, east towards the zoo, and south over the Bow River into Edworthy Park.  Many historic areas and modern amenities are close by:

To the west, the community of Bowness and the Rocky Mountains!
To the north, the hospital, the university and the C-Train
To the east, the community of Kensington and downtown
To the south, the Bow River and some other places

Major road connections are also convenient such as:

Bowness Road
Memorial Drive
Crowhild Trail
Trans-Canada Highway (16th Ave)
Shaganappi Trail
