Care, Community, and Well-being in Residence Program

Student Experience and Support, in partnership with Residence Services, supports building a safe, supportive and caring community in Residence in line with the University of Calgary's Community Mental Health and Well-being Strategy. This approach is holistic, meaning that it includes well-being related to emotional, social, psychological, physical, and spiritual aspects of an individual’s life. The Care, Community and Well-being in Residence Program improves awareness of, and facilitates access to, mental health and wellness supports, and increases knowledge and awareness of mental health.

The Residence Student Support Advisor is part of the Assessment and Care Team and offers one-on-one support to students and facilitates training and programming for Residence students and staff. The Good Health and Wellbeing Group offers peer programming to residents, increasing mental health awareness and focusing on mental and physical health.

Support is available to any student who lives in residence, including undergraduate and graduate students.
