Welcome to Fencing Club. The University of Calgary Fencing Club is one of the oldest sport fencing organizations in Calgary. In 1963, Don Laszlo created the club so the University (then the University of Alberta, Calgary Campus) could enter a team in the Western Finals that year. The UCFC has been around in various forms since that time. The UCFC is not a varsity club, so we are open to everyone of all skill levels. We offer foil, sabre, and epee in both dry and electric. Our beginner classes provide structured teaching to the sport.
