CANSARCC AHS

Summary

Sarcoma is a rare cancer with more than 100 subtypes, each having different prognosis and requiring its own treatment approach. The rarity and complexity of sarcoma make it difficult to conduct high quality research with large patient samples. There is an urgent unmet need for sarcoma specialists to collaborate to create large databases which are critically needed to conduct well-powered research. The Canadian Sarcoma Research and Clinical Collaboration (CanSaRCC) is a group of sarcoma care providers across Canada committed to form a multicentre collaborative team to generate and maintain such a database. This study is a part of this pan-Canadian initiative that we would like to contribute Alberta (AB) provincial patient data including both children/adults. This participation will enable AB patients to have their data included in future research and create opportunities for AB investigators to lead clinical and translational research to improve outcomes for the patients that we serve.
