The University of Calgary is a large organization with a variety of audiences and a number of stories to tell.

Whether trying to secure fundraising support, market a new course or program, or announce an important piece of research or new - we are in competition for the hearts and minds of our target audiences and they are exposed to thousands of messages everyday. We help break through the clutter of these messages when our communications materials are consistent in appearance and quality.

The role of External Relations is to create recognition and awareness for the University of Calgary. One of the important ways to get our message heard and recognized is through consistency in our look, feel and message. To help achieve this, the University of Calgary has a number of templates and standards that when used together help our communications break through the clutter. These tools are for the use of all University of Calgary faculties and departments. By using them consistently, we will help enhance the U of C’s recognition and reputation.
