Council of Foothills DGAs

CFD

Who is CFD? What do they do?

Departmental Graduate Associations (DGAs) are a collection of graduate students from each department that represent the student body of that particular department as a whole. Within the Cumming School of Medicine there is a consortium of DGAs known as the Council of Foothills DGAs (CFD) that meet monthly to discuss graduate student news and any Foothills campus-specific information. A representative from each DGA in the Cumming School of Medicine attends these CFD meetings. Any issues that a graduate student has can be communicated to their DGA and a representative can make this issue known at departmental meetings or various other meetings they may attend with department heads or program directors. It's not all doom and gloom — the DGA representatives also discuss the positive things that have happened within their departments and often discuss appropriate celebrations or rewards for those involved.
