About:

Aboriginal Futures employs full-time career counsellors who can help with career decision making, education and training enhancement and employment preparation. Organization is Indigenous owned and operated. They serve the urban Indigenous population in Calgary and the surrounding area.

Services: 

• Computer lab for training, education or employment purposes. Also includes a phone, printer and wireless internet. Staff can also fax documents for individuals.
• Job Club: a group assisted job search program for individuals looking to find employment
• Aboriginal Workplace Learning Circle: program reviews essential skills for learning, work and life. Participants will create a personal plan to succeed in the workplace and at home, discover their learning style to enhance learning potential and more
• Individual career counselling
• Action plan development
• Resume and cover letter writing assistance
• Job search preparation
• Interview coaching
• Community service agency referrals
• Job postings, training opportunities and information pamphlets are also available on site
