Social Sciences 201 H(3-2)

Exploring Social Issues

An introductory study of selected topics that are currently engaging scholars across the social sciences. Organized around a broad theme (e.g., Globalization and Its Critics; Nature and Culture; Sex, Sexuality and Society) and interdisciplinary both in terms of course materials and presentation. A combination of large-group lectures and small-group seminars, with a particular focus on reading, discussion and writing assignments.

Senior Course

Social Sciences 502 F

NAFTA Field Placement

Students spend one session working as an intern in a government or private-sector organization in Washington, DC under the auspices of The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars.

Prerequisites: Acceptance to the Washington Centre Internship Program. Students should contact the International Student Centre or the Program Coordinator for information and advice.
