Orientation is the University of Calgary's official welcome to our campus community, setting the stage for your success as an undergraduate student.
Each year we welcome our incoming class at our Induction Ceremony where a keynote speaker addresses our new students.
A tradition now 20 years strong, Orientation Week is a rite of passage for all University of Calgary undergraduate students and is your official welcome to our campus community.
Graduate Student Orientation provides you with information around key academic principles and policies. Attending this orientation day will give you the tips, contacts, and knowledge you need to succeed in your graduate program.
If you are an international student, we strongly encourage you to attend orientation! Important sessions will be held in early September covering essential topics specific to international students including immigration, working in Canada, and academics in Canada.
Student, staff and faculty volunteers wearing red Ask Me buttons will be available throughout campus during September to answer any questions you might have about starting out at UCalgary.
The Welcome Centre provides support and programming for new-to-Calgary students as they prepare to make Calgary their home. This year, the Centre will be open weekdays starting July 15th, 2016, and then will be open seven days a week starting August 8th. The Welcome Centre is a summer-term service and closes on September 11th, 2016.
The NSRA team is available to assist new to UCalgary Undergraduate students with their registration for the Fall 2016/Winter 2017 academic year.
