Looking to get involved on campus with some super cool and unique volunteer opportunities? CJSW 90.9FM, the University of Calgary's community radio station is recruiting volunteers for their annual Funding Drive coming up next week! Funding Drive is CJSW’s most important fundraising event of the year. The money raised is directly responsible for the quality and consistency of service the station is able to provide to the Calgary community throughout the year. For one week every year, CJSW listeners and the Calgary community give back to the station by pledging their financial support for campus and community radio. 

Here are examples of the projects CJSW has completed over the years thanks to pledges from listeners:

• 2010 — Moved into a brand new station space
   
• 2011 — Digitized the station's enormous music library
   
• 2012 — Wattage increased
  from 4,000 to 18,000 watts
   
• 2013 — Launch of the new cjsw.com website
   
• 2014 — All CJSW programs available through podcasting
   
• 2015 — Listeners can text directly to the on-air booth
   
• 2016 — McHugh House, a downtown venue for all-ages concerts
   
• 2017 — CJSW in the Wild live broadcast capabilities
