Can exercise really make you happier? A new study by the University of Calgary, Faculty of Kinesiology is hoping to add to the growing body of literature that shows physical activity may improve your mental state along with your health.

RECESS is hoping to recruit over 100 first year students. One lucky group of study participants will receive a Garmin Vivofit wristband, wearable technology that tracks a user’s steps, exercise and sleep patterns.

All Access & Racquet Centre plastic wristbands have changed to coloured recyclable paper wristbands!

  • No need to sign wristbands back in to Client Services
  • Present UCID at Client Services to sign in & staff will apply wrist band.
  • The bands are hypoallergenic, waterproof and repel bacteria!
  • Access for: Racquet Centre, Gyms, Pool, Bouldering Wall

Active Living combines University of Calgary Campus Recreation, Health & Recreation and Outdoor Centre Programs. The name reflects our mandate to promote healthy living and and to provide expertise, programming and facilities to the campus and to the city of Calgary.
