Over the past five years, the School of Creative and Performing Arts has been re-imagining the future of performance through a careful balance of tradition and innovation. The 2018-19 season extends and expands on this commitment and offers an ambitious combination of performances, plays and concerts.

“Drawing on the deep expertise of our own faculty, an impressive roster of national and international guests, and the rich diversity of our local communities, we once again offer a wide range of performances and events,” says Dr. Bruce Barton, PhD, director.

Season highlights include:

  • an additional professional dance series featuring mixed ability dance theatre
  • the production of a new work by Canadian playwright Susanna Fournier
  • a celebration of the accordion throughout several concert offerings
  • Monday Night Jazz concerts featuring international and local artists
  • a variety of free events co-presented with various community partners
