The University of Calgary is an energized, ambitious environment in which to learn and work. Those who call this campus “home” challenge themselves every day to explore new ideas, support one another, and make singular contributions to society. UToday is the leading online news service for this thriving community of more than 36,000 students, faculty, and staff.
UToday is published by University Relations in collaboration with our 14 faculties and various university departments and units. Its goal is to capture and reflect the spirit and life of this dynamic community. Stories explore the University of Calgary’s Eyes High goal to become one of Canada’s top five research universities by 2016. UToday also charts milestone moments, shaping events, influential personalities, and opportunities to get involved in campus life. The university engages daily with internal and external stakeholders to demonstrate its ongoing successes, its heart for teaching and research, and its commitment to communities where we serve and lead. UToday's audience is as broad as the university itself: students, faculty, staff, alumni, news media, donors, community leaders and partners, and residents at large.
This website is a resource and a tool for faculty, staff members and others who share a stake in telling these great stories on behalf of their university faculties, departments, or business units. UToday supports and encourages the talented individuals whose words and pictures convey stories to the wider campus community.
