Qualisure Diagnostics

Qualisure Diagnostics

A cancer diagnosis and treatment plan is unique to each patient. Qualisure Diagnostics is developing diagnostic tools that can help inform customized treatment plans for patients with cancer and determine the most appropriate interventions. Their core technology uses biopsy and biomarkers to support physicians in determining when cancer patients should have surgical intervention and what the scope of the intervention should be. Their cloud-based engine, Molecular deCodeR, decodes the biomarkers that are most informative and rapidly delivers test results to ordering physicians.

Currently, the company consists of three products. Their lead product, Thyroid GuidePx, is an algorithmic diagnostic tool for prediction in thyroid cancer patients. HighLifeR is a ML algorithm that goes through genomic datasets to identify biomarkers associated with survival. Finally, Molecular DeCodeR is software that enables rapid interpretation of molecular data, generates a report in the cloud and transmits to physicians.

UCeed’s investment has been instrumental in advancing Qualisure’s technology development and commercialization efforts. Along with the financial investment, the company gained strategic support to secure additional funding and further develop their business. Brandon Friedt, CFO, acknowledges how they were able to leverage their UCeed investment to acquire government grants. This helped them make significant progress with their commercialization efforts, particularly towards their lead product, Thyroid GuidePx.

“UCeed has made an invaluable contribution to our company’s growth and development.”

The company is currently in the final stages of development for Thyroid GuidePx, with the last rounds of testing for their software development and other steps needed to be commercially ready in the US.
