Sustainability Week at UCalgary

Join us this Sustainability Week for an opportunity to meet like-minded people who are interested in sustainability on campus. Learn more about the ways you can get involved in and be part of meaningful discussions on how UCalgary can further advance the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This week’s events include speaker panels, interactive idea-generating workshops, and discussions on topics such as sustainable living on residence, eco-grief, the sustainability tech ecosystem, solutions to sustainability challenges on campus and much more!

Well-being and resilience in the midst of Climate Change (online)

Join UCalgary’s Office of Sustainability and Bow Valley College for “Well-being & Resilience in the Midst of Climate Change.” This event will highlight the connections between sustainability and mental well-being by helping participants explore the concepts of ecological grief, climate anxiety, and other emotional responses to a rapidly changing climate.

Join us for an exciting panel discussion to explore how the information technology landscape is advancing sustainability-focused solutions across the ecological, social and economical issues of today. Hear from experts on how these advancements in information technology allow us to measure how sustainability varies geographically across our planet, and explore these unique solutions depending on local priorities and social situations.

SustainabiliTEA (UFluorish)

Join our student team in partnership with the Office of Sustainability as they lead great conversations about sustainable environments, societies and communities! Drop-in anytime - stay for a bit, stay for the whole time! All are welcome. DiversiTEA runs every Friday at 12 pm MST in a blended format. You are welcome to be in the Centre for the event and drink our tea. You are also welcome to participate at home through Zoom and drink your own tea.
