About:

The YWCA helps women meet their immediate basic needs, then works with them to create positive change in their lives. Offers services in shelters, housing, employment, counselling, language skills and child care.

Services:

  • Group Counselling: help clients better cope with family violence in a community of other affected individuals

  • Individual Counselling : available for vulnerable women who have experienced violence or for men who have been abusive to their partner and/or coping with substance abuse.

  • Visitation Services: provides an opportunity for children to visit with the non-custodial parent in a safe and secure environment

  • High Conflict Custody Parenting Program: to help manage child custody or past family violence issues.

  • Children Exposed to Family Violence: offer counselling and guidance for children, parents, and adolescents to help mitigate feelings of guilt or anxiety related to family violence.
