About:

At Trellis we work with children, youth and families to unlock their potential and support their growth. Our programs focus on improving access to resources, developing family and community supports and building the capacity to deal with future challenges.

Services:

  • Children’s Services Include: Ready, Set, Go! Preschool; Ready, Set, Learn! Kindergarten, Kinder-Care, Summer Day Camps & Before and After School Care
  • Youth Services Include:
    • Shelter, Housing & Outreach - Nothing is more important than having a safe place to stay. We run Calgary’s only youth emergency shelter and also have a variety of other housing options. We’ll give you a place to collect your thoughts as well as programs that help you get life skills and move toward independent living.
    • After-School Programs - Our 5 community clubs provide a convenient and fun place to learn and connect outside of school. We’re a second home for those who need it after school, evenings, on some PD days and during school breaks.
    • Education & Employment - We offer skill development programs, academic, vocational, and therapeutic supports, leadership opportunities, cultural awareness and self-expression activities for children and youth.
    • Settlement Services - Newcomers face a unique set of challenges. Building Youth Connections helps with referrals, coaching, conversation clubs and more. It’s all in the service of creating networks that help youth overcome obstacles.
  • Family Services Include:
    • Sustainable Families – A housing first program that provides intensive support for families facing homelessness.
    • In-Home Family Support – an intervention program that works to ensure children of all ages are safe and well-nurtured in their homes. Our support team works to prevent, reduce or eliminate factors that can put the safety and well-being of children at risk, while helping identify strengths and build the skills needed to improve communication, address problematic behaviours, manage crises and enhance overall family function.
    • Home Stay - A housing first program that offers short-term assistance to families on the verge of homelessness.
    • Foster Care – We connect safe, nurturing and supportive foster families with children and youth who are temporarily unable to remain in their family home.
    • Family Resource Networks – Parenting and family programs for children and youth of all ages!
