About:
The sexuality and gender diversity community liaison is to works through direct partnership with the LGBT community to promote two-way communication, reduce negative stereotypical images, promote education and awareness, identify and resolve crime concerns and increase police awareness of community issues.
Services:
- Risk assessment
- Help with navigating the legal system and support services
- Help with moving to a shelter or safety planning if necessary
- Investigation into high-risk stalking offences
- Investigation into same sex domestic abuse
- Can make referrals to other relevant LGBTQ organizations
