About:

The Kerby Centre assists older people to live as well as possible, for as long as possible, as residents in the community.

Services:

  • Kirby Rotary Shelter: 
    • Individuals over 55 who need help can stay up to three months.
    • Both men and women are welcome.
    • The setting is home-like and comfortable.
  • Elder Abuse Response Team (EART): 
    • Consists of two social workers, two police officers, a nurse and a program coordinator.
    • Members of the team will: respond to and investigate suspected cases of elder abuse, provide support and guidance to abuse victims and their families, assist other service providers working with abuse victims.
