When it comes to setting the bar high, Canadian R&B-Pop artist Josh Sahunta never lets his feet touch the ground. The self-taught multi-instrumentalist and singer uniquely positions himself as a songwriter with substance. Drawing upon his influences of John Mayer, Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd, Josh's songwriting is packed with deeply rich narratives and cool, contemporary soundscapes. Josh has opened for the likes of Scott Helman and Joey Landreth, and he continues to perform across Canada, the US and Europe.

Josh Sahunta is one of those creative prodigies who excels at absolutely everything he touches.

Winner of the 2018 YYC Music Awards – Female Artist of the Year and the Zackariah and the Prophets Memorial Award, Calgarian Kate Stevens’s vocal talents are diverse, with a mix of emotive folk and soulful pop. Her vocals combine uniquely with the sound of her chosen instruments, the ukulele, the piano and the guitar. She creates distinctive melodies and meaningful lyrics.

A sought-after performer, Kate has gained valuable experience performing in Toronto and her hometown of Calgary. She has supported artists such as David Beckingham, Joe Nolan, and Daniel Romano. Stevens has great involvement performing as a soloist and more recently with a back up band consisting of members of Sweet Barry Wine and the Thunder.

In 2018, Ms. Stevens released two new singles, “It’s Real” and “Right Choice”. These follow her debut EP, Handmade Rumours (June 2017). As one of the youngest Canadian artists chosen for Canada’s Music Incubator Artist Entrepreneur Program in Toronto, Stevens was also selected as one of three artists from Alberta for the Prophets of Music Emerging Artist Program. Kate is working alongside Juno award winning Russell Broom at OCL studios and is set to release a new single "Meant for Me"this spring.

Who is Natural Ensemble? Natural Ensemble, or N.e (always spelt with a lower case e) is a unique hip-hop duo created by the imaginations of two young, talented artists who hail from Okotoks, Alberta, Canada. Early 90‘s hip-hop influences the positive, upbeat lyrics (provided by Josh “Geeze” Giesbrecht) and laid back beats (courtesy of Brendon “B-Ren” Caron). Alone, they could impress any rap enthusiast but together, they’re creativity blends to unveil a side of hip-hop you’ve never heard before.

The official debut of Natural Ensemble was in January, 2010 at Converge - a hip hop music, art and fashion show held at the iconic Calgary Tower. The duo wasted no opportunity to help others with their music, raising over $3,000 for victims of the Haiti earthquake at Hip Hop for Haiti - a hugely successful show that they organized themselves. At the end of 2010 the duo began their relationship with True Rhythm - one of the top hip-hop promoters in Calgary. Since then, N.e has been a permanent name in Calgary hip hop, appearing alongside names like Sweatshop Union, Moka Only, Son Real and Dub FX. In December, 2010 Natural Ensemble signed with their long time friends at indie record label, Big Rock Records Inc. One year later their first album, Naturally, was released at a sold out show in Okotoks. The album saw itself at #17 in the Canadian iTunes Hip Hop chart - a huge success for the duo that was just getting started. More new fans got the chance to discover Natural Ensemble for themselves when Geeze was featured on the single, I’m So Indie, from fellow Calgary hip-hop artist, Transit. The video was featured on Much Music and currently has over 300,000 views on YouTube. On the heels of the successful single, N.e joined Transit and DJ Crosswalk for a western Canadian tour. Natural Ensemble has appeared at some festivals in 2012 including Fozzy Fest and Shake The Lake.

Natural Ensemble has already passed many milestones in a short period of time - so what could be next for Geeze and B-Ren? A Canada-wide tour would be the first time N.e has the chance to bring their music to a stage in front of hip hop fans outside of Western Canada. But of course, “it’s all about the music.” Natural Ensemble wants to bring their second album to hungry fans and make sure there is never a shortage of peace, love and great hip hop. This is just the start of the Natural Ensemble story.

Closely tied to Soul, Ska, Reggae, Funk & R&B music, Jory Kinjo embraces all these genres with a deep sincerity, bringing a unique musical history with the experience to match. Current projects with which Jory is involved include Mocking Shadows (Soul/R&B), JK & the Relays (Ska/Reggae), Goodfoot (Funk) and family project, The Kinjo Bros.

Jory joined Mocking Shadows in 1999 and is still fronting the Soul band with which he warmed the stage for 3 tours with the legendary B.B. King. Calgary’s Mocking Shadows has also performed with other artists such as The Tragically Hip, ZZ Top and Buddy Guy.

In 2012, Jory and his younger brother, Kaley, travelled to Okinawa for their 3rd tour of southern Japan. The Bros. were featured at the Naha Matsuri Festival which was broadcast live on Ryukyu Broadcasting Corp. TV and radio.

Kinjo ignited his love for Ska music on a European tour in 2007.  Playing bass for Montreal group The Planet Smashers and opening for Punk Rock legends Bad Religion at the Groezrock Festival in Belgium sparked the formation of his own Ska/Reggae project, JK & the Relays.  Since then, the band has rocked the Montreal Ska Festival, the Calgary Reggae Festival, and the Victoria Ska Festival. The group has played with such genre kings as the Slackers, the Aggrolites, Fishbone and the English Beat.

As well as performing in various groups, Jory continues with his solo efforts as a songwriter and/or bassist, collaborating and performing with various musicians.

There's nothing better than watching all of the day's musicians come up to the stage and play together. Be sure to stick around until the end!
