Biography
The socio-legal factors that affect the justice system have always been of interest to me, which is why I chose a Law & Society degree. I aspire to further my education through law school and continue to learn these concepts to use my education to help people.
During the summer of 2020, I volunteered as a protest coordinator with Unity for Justice in Fort McMurray to support the Black Lives Matter movement. I also spent the summer of 2019 mentoring young migrant newcomers, helping them acclimate to Canada. I intend to make these my first steps in reducing barriers to access and justice for the disadvantaged. Furthermore, I plan to carry these values with me as I pursue a career in Civil law or Immigration law.
Aside from my academics and volunteer work, in my free time, I enjoy debating with the UCalgary Debate Society and working with the Nigerian Students Association as the Secretary.
