Biography

I have always wanted to work in healthcare services since I was little. During my childhood, I was a frequent visitor to hospitals and clinics due to fever and cold. I recall the warm feelings the compassionate nurses gave me and my family's constant care. As I grow up, I desire to be a contributor, so I'm majoring in nursing. I hope to send warmth to my patients' hearts. My nursing courses, clinical placement, and long-term care work experience taught me how important technical knowledge is and the nurse-patient interactions to provide quality care.

Moreover, as an immigrant to Canada, contributing and volunteering give me a strong sense of belonging to the community. I volunteer with the Music Box Children's Charity, where I teach children music theory through games. At school, I was the VP Social of the Year One Nursing Program, in charge of planning, leading games, and gathering supplies. Then, I was elected as one of the Co-chairs of the Peer Mentorship Committee to provide academic and social support to students in the following year. This experience motivated me to pursue my current role as the VP of Finance of the Undergraduate Nursing Society. I have organized two new fundraisers and assisted with our merchandise sales. In the year after, I was elected as the 80th SU Nursing Representative. However, due to personal circumstances, I had to resign after 8 months.
