Biography

“Creativity is contagious, pass it on” - Albert Einstein

Whether I am training for nationals, hosting my podcast, or advocating for mental health in the community, you will always find me eager to learn. I am motivated by being able to connect with people and diversify my skill sets. As a field hockey player, competing at the national level and fighting for a spot on team Canada has been a defining experience these last few years, and has fueled my interest in the sport sciences. Now as a Kinesiology student I have the opportunity to combine the two realms and take the experiences and skills I learn from the field, and apply them in the classroom.

My extracurricular commitments throughout the years have solidified my passion to pursue a career in youth mental health and wellbeing advocacy. I am a firm believer that childhood is the most important phase of our lives, as it builds a foundation for us to develop and learn as we grow older. I keep this mindset with me wherever I am, while coaching youth sports, participating in international education social action projects, and as a Connecteen volunteer at the Calgary Distress Centre.

I am also an outdoors and sports enthusiast. During my leisure time, you can always find me outside playing pick up sports or hiking in the mountains. On rainy days, I enjoy sketching and producing music as a way of entertaining my creative side.
