Biography

Dedicated to finding the root causes and solutions to health and development issues, Grace is an avid researcher in the geriatrics sector, more specifically focusing on palliative care and issues regarding Medical Assistance in Dying. She hopes to continue this passion of hers by going into global health and international development by pursuing a Masters in these two areas abroad in the UK. Building off of her economics background and passion for monetary matters, she is also the Vice-President of Finance of both the Adolescent Sexual Violence Prevention Society and Health and Society Scholar's Club. In addition to her extracurricular activities, Grace is a wrestler for the U of C Dinos and is a competitive student-athlete that also represents the wrestling team at U of C's Student-Athlete Committee (SAC) and is the SAC representative for all Dinos Athletics teams at the Active Living Athletics Committee where she champions for Dinos student-athletes' voices. Overall in the long-term, after training for the 2024 and possibly 2028 Olympic cycle for wrestling, Grace hopes to obtain her Masters in International Development and Global Health and pursue further education in hopes of working for an international organization in global health policy. There, she hopes to better the economic and health conditions of developing countries by focusing on development factors such as healthcare for older-aged adults as well as human and animal rights.
