Suggest a Keynote Speaker

Know a keynote speaker to address and inspire the incoming class?

Each year, the orientation team searches for a keynote speaker to address and inspire the incoming class during the New Student Induction Ceremony. Preference will be given to those a current or former affiliation with the University of Calgary, and who do not currently have political affiliation in an official capacity.

Assist new students with directions

Ask Me Program

The Ask Me program is looking for campus staff, faculty and student volunteers who are willing to assist new students with questions and directions in their first month. To indicate that they are comfortable answering student questions, you will be asked to wear a red Ask Me button, and put up Ask Me poster in your place of work or in a select area of campus. Some Ask Me volunteers will assist students with questions and directions at a tent on the TFDL quad throughout Fall Orientation.

Become a Greeter

Assist new undergraduate students

Assist new undergraduate students in finding their way on campus on the very first day of Fall Orientation. Greeters meet early on the first day of Fall Orientation to line high traffic areas on campus and direct new students to their Fall Orientation groups.
