We believe we’re better together, and grow by engaging with multiple perspectives. Be a part of Kaleidoscope – venture outside your comfort zone and into religious and cultural diversity in Calgary. Listen to different religious perspectives and personal lived experiences of the people we encounter. Throughout the process, learn to articulate your values and build your intercultural capacities.
Learn about & experience religious diversity in Calgary
You will spend 7 nights and 6 days fully immersed in some of the cultural and religious diversity Calgary has to offer. Learn about religious diversity, delve into case studies related to religion in the public sphere, and cultivate skills in interacting across lines of difference.
Approximate Cost: TBD
Despite being in Calgary, students will stay together in shared accommodations in downtown Calgary for the duration of the program and will have limited free time in the evenings.
There are several funding options for students through the SU Travel & Conference Fund (up to $250) and the Student Activities Fund (up to $500) to help offset the costs to participating in the Kaleidoscope Project. We encourage you to apply and then talk to a Faith & Spirituality Centre staff about funding options - we will find a way to make this program affordable for you!
