Career Fairs
Career Tip
Before attending a career fair, check the list of companies attending and research their services and opportunities, prepare questions that you can ask the employers.
Avoid asking, "Are you hiring?" or "Do you have a job?"
The goal of a fair is to learn about careers and companies. Any job openings can be found on their website or CareerLink.
Information sessions
Employer information sessions are one of the best ways to find out if an organization is the right fit for you.
They're a great way to meet recruiters and experts in your field of study, get an introduction to the company's culture, learn about their hiring process and discover career opportunities.
Register early, as spaces are limited!
Career Tip
People generally like talking about their jobs and helping out. Set up Information Interviews and if you don’t know how to then visit Career Services.
