Explore Micro-Placements Program
Providing skill development through micro-placements
Explore Careers provides a range of micro-experiences such as externships, job-shadowing or short-run projects that allow students to explore various career paths/industries.
This project allows students to gain experience through unpaid micro-placements involving a 30-hour work term combined with ten hours of skills development training. Placements are flexible and can be arranged onsite or online.
The 30-hour term can be arranged into either full-time or part-time work. Placements can be as short as one week, or a maximum of eight weeks.
To enhance their placement experience, students are enrolled the FUSION Skill Development Program, a ten-hour online program involving reflective activities pre- and post-placement to help integrate academic learning to what was learned through their placement.
This experiential program will have ongoing intake throughout the year.
