Tanya Childs

Tanya joined the Sport Injury Prevention Research Centre in 2015 as the Program Administration Coordinator for the Vi Riddelll Pediatric Rehabilitation Research Initiative within the Alberta Children’s Hospital Research Institute (ACHRI).  In her role, Tanya will be using her business process and project management experience to support  projects and teams working on projects specifically aligned with pediatric rehabilitation research.

Tanya has a specific passion for working on health and wellness projects, services and research. After 10 years of corporate project administration/management/IT experience, she founded  'Exhale Projects’ as a consulting company from which she could focus her business acumen specifically on her field of interest. Working with the University of Calgary’s Sport Technology Research Laboratory, she managed the administration, development, and implementation of technology based solutions to support projects with Own the Podium 2010 and the Raise the Bar initiative with Cardel Place.

When not traveling or dreaming of traveling, Tanya loves to exercise her passion for physical activity through her activities as a certified yoga teacher, being active in the ski racing community, and always looking out for unique opportunities to try new sports.
