Christopher Rusling

Chris Rusling is a PhD student under the supervision of Dr. Kathryn Schneider and Dr Kati Pasanen in the Sport Injury Prevention Research Centre. He graduated in 2011 from Leeds Beckett University with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy, followed by a Master of Science in Sport and Exercise Medicine from the University of Nottingham in 2014. Chris has spent 9 years working between professional soccer and rugby league in the UK and Canada. Combining his passion for soccer with his research, Chris’ PhD will investigate the epidemiology of injury, illness, and concussion within male professional soccer players from the Canadian Premier League, with an aim to implement evidence-informed injury prevention strategies.
