VRMS Admin Training

Training Steps

UCalgary requires that all volunteers are managed under the Volunteer Registration and Management System. This includes registering volunteers on the online software, Better Impact; and adhering to a collection of standardized processes.

We have focused this training program on the tasks necessary for meeting legislative compliance. Please follow the steps in the order they are presented.

In order to proceed with the VRMS training, you will need administrator access to a Better Impact account. If your department/program does not already have a Better Impact account, please submit a request here. Otherwise, ask your account's Dept Admin to arrange for this access.

Step-by-step instructions are provided for the respective functions presented in the video tutorials. You can also download them within each training module under Resources.

** Note**
Better Impact has recently upgraded their software. One of the major new features is a re-design of the administrator page layout. For an overview of these changes and a look at the new interface, please have a look at this video from Better Impact - https://www.betterimpact.ca/whats-new/

Our training videos below, do not reflect the new administrator interface. We will be updating our training videos below as soon as possible.
