June 2020 convocation postponed

To help limit the spread of COVID-19, the June 2020 convocation ceremonies have been postponed until November 2020.

The new dates will be made available by early June.

FAQ

I’ve already applied to graduate. With the ceremony postponed, will I still graduate?

Yes, once your faculty clears you for graduation, you will still receive your degree/parchment in June. 

How will I receive my degree/parchment?

Parchments will be mailed out at the beginning of June to all students who are eligible to receive them. Please ensure that your mailing address is up to date in your Student Centre.

I still have outstanding fees. Will I receive my parchment if these fees have not been cleared?

If you have outstanding fees, you will not be eligible to receive your parchment until they have been cleared. You can double check the status of your fees in your Student Centre.

If I choose the ‘degree pickup option’ when can I pickup my parchment?

Currently our frontline is not open and therefore students are unable to pickup their parchment in person. You may choose to have this mailed out to you or it can remain with the convocation office until we have further pickup details.

I already submitted my attendance notification and paid for my gown rental. Will I get a refund?

Yes. However, if you plan to attend the ceremony when it’s held in the fall, we can move your gown rental to the fall ceremony. The convocation office will send out details to students who have already paid.

What dates in November are the ceremonies being moved to?

We are working to finalize these dates and will post information in July on the convocation website.

Will additional graduation photography dates be added?

Yes. We will add more appointments in the future. At this time, we do not know the exact date; however, we are working Artona to make these arrangements. We will email information to students and post details on the convocation website as soon as the dates are confirmed.
