We know the first few weeks can be a bit overwhelming. During the month of September, volunteers around campus will wear a red Ask Me button or display a poster in their office. That will help you easily find people who are available to help answer your questions.

Each faculty has their own faculty advisors who can assist you in changing your major. Applications to change are due February 1st of each year and are completed on your Student Centre. Advisors are also available through the Student Success Centre, appointments can be made through the advising appointment portal.
Fall 2016 :
You have until September 23, 2016 to drop a course without financial penalty and there will be no academic record of the course that is dropped. Last day to drop courses is December 9, 2016 where there will be a "W" (withdrawal) recorded for the course and tuition will not be refunded.
You have until January 20, 2017 to drop a course without financial penalty and there will be no academic record of the course that is dropped. Last day to drop courses is April 12, 2017 where there will be a "W" (withdrawal) recorded for the course and tuition will not be refunded.
Go on your Student Centre, click on “Search for Classes”, “Enroll”, and then “Drop”. Be sure to check in with your academic advisor to discuss what impact dropping a course could have on your degree progress.
The Unicard will be available to students who have an UCID number at the Dining Centre Room 018. It's located across from Kinesiology A and close to the Olympic Oval, next to Hotel Alma. The building will have "DINING CENTRE" in big letters on the outside.
Also, from August 31 to September 11 you can come to the Unicard express tent if you have already submitted their selfie online, located just outside of the main doors on the north side of the Dining Centre.
You can opt-out of the health insurance plan if you have comparable coverage through another provider. The deadline to opt-out (or to move to a family plan) is September 30th, 2016. To opt-out, complete the online form and upload proof of comparable insurance. You can also visit the SU Health and Dental Plan office on the 3rd floor MSC, above Kobe Beef.
You can use Degree Navigator, accessed through a link on your Student Centre, to see all of the required courses for your degree. You can also refer to the Academic Calendar for the sequence of your program’s courses, or speak to a faculty advisor.
