Biography

"To grow from being an artist that makes things to one that makes things happen."

Jasneet Pritam is a Design Enthusiast and aspiring interdisciplinary Artist from Kenya studying Visual Art at the University of Calgary. She thrives on learning new techniques to create with and has a keen interest in the field of Architecture, specifically sustainability and the application of design in combating the current climate crisis. Her portfolio, as such, is quite diverse, and she hopes to continue building on this multiplicity in design skills in the next few years.

Jasneet is currently involved in various design explorations. She experimented with graphic design in multiple contexts, especially in digital marketing. Endeavoured different traditional mediums and techniques spanning the 2D and 3D spectrum, for instance, oil paintings, acrylic paintings, drawings, clay sculptures, mixed media sculptures, glass engraving, found object work, and generative art with code, amongst many others. It is this scope of diversity that keeps Jasneet on her path of design. Pritam's works have been displayed in multiple group exhibitions. She has also professionally pursued personalized commissions, small-project photography, Interior Design, and Architecture as an Intern before her recent move to Canada. Anything that keeps challenging her creatively, she does.
