V.116 Release Notes

Last night we released V.116 of the UCalgary Web System. Check out the release notes to see what was included in the latest release!

What’s Fixed?

Bugs and issues resolved in the latest release. 

  • Menu save performance: Some improvements were made to menu saving processes to improve load times.  
  • Google tag and file permissions error: Some cache clearing processes were causing Google Tag and file permissions related error log messages. Updates were made to these processes to ensure they do not cause these errors.
  • Masonry Gallery block reordering: Drag-and-drop buttons were missing from Masonry galleries preventing authors from reordering images. This has been resolved so images can now be rearranged in this block.
  • Thumbnail block drag-and-drop: When using drag-and-drop to rearrange thumbnail sections, images were not moving with their associated content.
  • Article subheadings showing <br> tag: Some article subheadings were showing a <br> tag in dynamic News Feed blocks. This has been resolved to ensure tags do not appear on News Feeds.
  • Duplicate people accounts: A unique issue with a duplicate user account was resolved in this release.

 

What’s New?

New features, block enhancements, and system updates from the latest release.  

  • CKEditor 5 cleanup: Some improvements were made based on the CKEditor 5 upgrade.   
  • Mini Hero CTA help text: Help text was applied to authoring for Mini Hero CTA for the ‘hidden’ character count that forces the content position to the bottom centre when content exceeds 100 characters.
  • Disabling Events Landing Page: Since last year’s LiveWhale CORS update, the Event Landing Page content type in Drupal is no longer functional. These have been replaced with group calendar pages (events.ucalgary.ca/group-name) on LiveWhale.
