Get answers to your questions about Continuing Education’s certificate programs

UToday HomeMay 30, 2013

Do you have questions about University of Calgary Continuing Education or one of its many certificate programs? Do you know about the Continuing Education tuition benefits that are available to most university staff?

You can get these and other questions answered at Continuing Education’s upcoming drop-in information sessions on June 4 and 5 at the main and downtown campuses.

The main campus session is being held in the Rozsa Centre (Evans Room), Tuesday, June 4. A brief general presentation about Continuing Education will be given by registrar Judith Russell at 4:30 p.m. and again at 6:30 p.m. Throughout the session, student advisers will be available for one-on-one consultations to answer specific questions about courses and programs.

The downtown campus session will be held Wednesday, June 5 in Room 426. Presentation times will be 11:45 a.m., 12:45 p.m., and 5 p.m., with advisers on hand to answer questions.

“We find these sessions are a great way for some people to take that first step toward Continuing Education,” says Russell. “Of course, our advisers welcome phone calls and drop-in visits during regular working hours, but these group sessions are more convenient for some people, including some U of C staff who find it difficult to phone or stop by during regular office hours.

“University of Calgary staff are in the perfect position to take advantage of Continuing Education’s varied programs of study,” says Russell. “Not only can you enjoy the convenience of being able to work and learn at the same institution; but also, most staff members can use tuition support benefits to pay for their courses.”
