Photo by Riley BrandtEvery year, thousands of our University of Calgary students celebrate a major milestone in their lives with the completion of their degrees. A culmination of years of commitment and hard work, convocation is a true celebration of our students and their remarkable achievements.

As faculty and staff, you can help create a memorable and lasting experience for our students and their families by assisting during the ceremonies.

Sign up and learn more about volunteer opportunities by contacting Convocation Logistics by Friday, May 18.

Volunteering is an opportunity to become part of the excitement as our students become our university alumni. It is one of the most meaningful ways to engage with the entire campus community during the year.

From June 4-8, eight convocation ceremonies will take place that rely on the support of hundreds of individuals. Time commitments vary from an hour or two to half a day and include duties such as pinning hoods on graduates, distributing degrees, and ushering and greeting guests. You are also invited to attend ceremonies during the week, as schedules permit.

Learn more about the ceremonies taking place in June, and visit the Convocation News website for convocation-related stories.
