Photo by Riley BrandtDuring construction, the most direct route around Science A is through the outdoor courtyard on the south side of the building. Additional indoor routes are also accessible, and alternate route maps are posted at building access points.

The building is limited to “local traffic” only—the students, faculty and staff who require access to classrooms and office space remaining open during construction. Areas of construction are strictly limited to construction personnel.

Brown bag information sessions will take place at noon in SB 146 on:

  • Thursday, Jan. 26
  • Thursday, Feb. 23

These sessions are open to building occupants and anyone else interested in learning more about the renewal of Science A.

The construction project team would like to remind the campus community to immediately report any safety or facility-related concerns in and around the building—including water or other utility disruptions—to the following:

The patience and understanding of students, faculty and staff is greatly appreciated.

The renewal of Science A is a complex, multi-stakeholder project involving: Facilities Management and Development; Campus Planning; Environmental Health and Safety; Campus Security; the Office of the Registrar; the Faculty of Science; the Disability Resource Centre; Duke Evans Inc. (project manager); and EllisDon (construction manager).
