Nuvyn Peters appointed vice-president (office of advancement)

Nuvyn to lead the newly created Office of Advancement
Nuvyn Peters

Nuvyn Peters led the highly successful $1.3 billion Energize: The Campaign for Eyes High.

Colleagues, I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Nuvyn Peters as vice-president (advancement) effective Sept. 1, 2019.

Nuvyn joined the University of Calgary in July 2014 as vice-president (development and alumni engagement) to lead the highly successful $1.3 billion Energize: The Campaign for Eyes High – the single most ambitious program ever undertaken by the development team at UCalgary and among the largest comprehensive fundraising campaigns in the history of Canadian universities. In 2018, the University of Calgary was one of only two post-secondary institutions in the Globe and Mail’s list of the top 25 fundraising institutions in Canada.

In her new role, Nuvyn will be responsible for building the new Office of Advancement which will work on behalf of the university to deepen internal and external engagement, increase philanthropic support, establish new and enhance existing community partnerships, identify opportunities to deepen the alumni experience, and promote UCalgary’s value proposition as a great research university. Nuvyn will oversee institutional communications, marketing, alumni, development and community engagement activities for the university. This is an exciting opportunity to amplify and share the university’s stories of incredible impact in ways that resonate with our communities.

Please join me in congratulating Nuvyn on her new role at the University of Calgary.

Regards,

Ed McCauley
President and Vice-Chancellor
