Honours Program - Application Deadline on Feb. 1

In the Honours Program, students will have the opportunity to develop a research project in the area of their own interests. The research project will be conducted over a year-long process under the supervision of a faculty member. The Honours Program is excellent preparation for graduate school and for students to build their research skills.

To qualify for admission, you must be registered in a Communication, Media and Film major program, have a GPA of at least 3.3 over your most recent 60 units (10 full-course equivalents), and have completed at least 90 units (15 full-course equivalents) by the end of the winter term in the year you apply.

When applying, students should register their intention to apply for the Honours Program by choosing the Change of Program function within their MyUCalgary Portal before Feb. 1. Applications for The Honours Program should be submitted as soon as possible, and Feb. 1 at the latest. Visit the page below for more details on the program and the application process.
